Kia Sonet: Hello friends, I’m Manish, and welcome to another fantastic video. Today, we finally have with us the brand-new Kia Sonet — a compact five-seater SUV that is all set to compete aggressively in its segment against cars like the Hyundai Venue and Tata Nexon / 3XO. The variant you see here today is one of the most value-for-money options available — the Kia Sonet STK Plus variant.
This variant is priced at ₹9,10,000 ex-showroom, and within this price you get a wide range of impressive features. You get alloy wheels, DRLs, a sunroof, wireless charging, a smart key, request sensors, and several other features that make this variant exceptionally practical and appealing. Once you watch this video, you won’t feel the need to check out any other variant!
Updated Pricing After GST Reduction
Today, we will explore the complete breakdown of the ex-showroom price, RTO, insurance, and the benefits of the recent GST price drop, which has made this SUV even more affordable. Before that, let’s start with the features offered in the Sonet STK Plus variant.
Smart Key & Convenience Features
Let’s begin with the key. You get two keys with this variant, including a newly designed smart key that was earlier available only in higher variants. With it, you can lock/unlock the car and even open the tailgate by long-pressing a button. The Sonet STK Plus also brings several exterior and interior updates compared to its previous version.
Front Design & Road Presence

The first thing you notice is the refreshed color option with a matte-finish tone, adding a unique feel. The alloy wheels are updated, the request sensor is included, and the overall design feels more refined. Looking at the front, the Sonet has one of the strongest road presences in the segment.
The DRLs and headlamp design look stunning. The signature Kia logo sits at the center of the bold grille, which carries a silver accent for added premium appeal. The lower bumper is stylishly designed, and the best part is that the STK Plus variant now includes four parking sensors at the front — a major advantage while driving in traffic or tight spaces.
Side Profile & Diamond-Cut Alloys

The side profile of the Sonet looks sharp and compact. The biggest highlight here is the inclusion of diamond-cut alloy wheels, which significantly enhance the SUV’s character. The car uses Apollo 215/60 R16 tyres, and you get disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear. The dual-tone finish on the alloys adds to the sporty stance.
🌦 Sunroof, Roof Rails & Exterior Enhancements
You also get two washers, two wipers, a factory-fitted sunroof, shark-fin antenna, and company-fitted roof rails. These additions give the Sonet a premium and rugged SUV appeal. The ORVMs feature indicators and a refined glossy finish. Thanks to the request sensor, you can unlock the doors without taking out the key.
Rear Profile, Sensors & Practicality

Coming to the rear, the Sonet features a connected tail-lamp design, a high-mounted stop lamp, rear wiper, and defogger. The STK Plus also includes reverse camera support with two ultrasonic sensors, making parking extremely convenient. The SUV has a 45-liter fuel tank and is available in both petrol and diesel engine options.
The petrol Sonet offers around 17–18 kmpl mileage, whereas the diesel variant can deliver around 24–25 kmpl depending on driving style.
Boot Space & Storage Capacity
The boot opens wide and offers 350 liters of deep and practical storage space. You can easily store 3–4 travel bags. The spare wheel is a 195/65 R15 tyre with a steel rim. Parcel tray is not included, but you can install it as an aftermarket accessory. From this variant onwards, you get 60:40 split rear seats with adjustable headrests — a big upgrade in practicality.
Rear Seat Comfort & Space
As soon as you enter the cabin, you notice a premium dual-tone door finish with soft-touch materials. Power window controls, bottle space, and speaker units are well-positioned. The rear seats get adjustable headrests and a center armrest for added comfort.
The fabric upholstery is comfortable and offers decent under-thigh support. Legroom is good for average-height passengers. Someone with a height of 6 feet may find it slightly tight, but overall space management is decent. You get rear AC vents, Type-C charging port, and small storage space below the vents.
Sunroof & Cabin Lighting

The cabin gets a manually controlled halogen lamp in the center and grab handles on both sides. One of the biggest highlights of this variant is the factory-installed sunroof. If you love sunroofs, this variant is perfect for you.
Driver-Side Features & Interior Layout

Opening the driver’s door reveals the same dual-tone layout with soft-touch materials. The ORVM controls, fold/unfold buttons, door lock/unlock switches, and power window controls are integrated here. Bottle holders and umbrella storage are also provided.
The seats can be adjusted for height, recline, and slide. The side bolstering is supportive, making long drives more comfortable. For safety, the Sonet includes six airbags, ABS, EBD, and brake assist features.
Dashboard, Steering & MID

Inside, you get an engine start-stop button, traction control, parking sensor switch, idle stop button, and headlamp leveling adjustment. The steering wheel features a premium textured finish with silver accents and the Kia badge in the center.
The steering also includes call controls, audio functions, and MID navigation buttons. The instrument cluster lights up cleanly, showing the RPM meter, speedometer, and fuel information. You also get TPMS and several driver convenience features accessible through the MID.
8-inch Infotainment System & Connectivity

The Sonet STK Plus offers an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The rear camera quality is decent and functional. The dashboard features a glossy finish with dual-tone styling.
Automatic climate control is available, allowing you to adjust temperature as per your comfort. Below it, you have a wireless charging pad, Type-C port, USB port, and a 12V socket. The center console includes two cupholders, a handbrake lever, and a practical armrest with storage.
Practical Storage & Roof Features
The glovebox is spacious and deep, though it does not include compartments. Roof-side, you get a ticket holder, vanity mirror for the passenger, sunglass holder, microphone placement for calling, and cabin lights. The IRVM is manually adjustable with day/night functionality.
