MG Hector : Hello guys, welcome to The Car Show. Today in front of you is the all-new 2025 MG Hector. Hector is a car that Indians like a lot. Inside this car, you get a very comfortable ride and excellent mileage. In today’s Article, we are going to talk in detail about this top-of-the-line variant Sharp Pro. Rest above this, there are some other variants like the Black Storm Edition but those are different editions. The features you get in the top-end are the same but with a few customized options.
Here we have the top-of-the-line diesel manual variant. Its ex-showroom price is 22.45 lakh. But currently, MG is offering very good discounts. You can check the details by visiting the showroom. Still, I am telling you that around ₹2 lakh discount is currently available on this. Now let’s start with its front look.
Front Design & Features

So here in red color, the car looks something like this. MG logo will be seen in the center. A full chrome grille is offered here. We get a camera that indicates the presence of a 360-degree camera setup in this car. Along with that, front parking sensors are offered. Talking about the headlights, LED projector headlamps are offered with LED DRLs plus side turn indicators. Fog lights are also completely LED.

Side Profile & Wheels

On the side, we first see its 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels which come with good brand tyres. The tyre profiling is 215 R18. All four disc brakes are standard. ORVMs are offered which you can electronically adjust and fold. An LED indicator and 360 camera are mounted on the ORVM. You get a sensor on the door handles and a chrome finish. Chrome window lining and chrome inserts below are also visible.

Roof Features
On the roof, we get roof rails, a massive panoramic sunroof, and a shark fin antenna.
Rear Design

At the back, full LED connected taillights are provided which give a great effect at night. Rear wiper, washer, and defogger are offered. A high-mounted spoiler with brake stop light is given. MG logo at the center, reverse parking camera, Hector badging, parking sensors, reflectors, and chrome inserts are visible.

Engine Specifications
MG offers two engine options: 1.5L petrol and 2.0L diesel. This is the diesel variant. This diesel engine produces 168 PS of power and 350 Nm of torque. The car is amazing to drive. I have been using it for almost a month and its mileage is also excellent — I am easily getting above 17 kmpl in the city.
Interior Experience
Front Cabin
Let’s step inside. The door pad looks like this with gloss black touches. All power window controls, lock/unlock, soft-touch leather padding, speaker, bottle holder, and Infinity branding on the tweeter are provided. Both seats are electronically adjustable with perforation and ventilation. Beige-colored interior looks premium.
Let’s turn the ignition on. Engine start/stop switch is provided. Steering wheel is fully leather-wrapped with media and telephone controls. Cruise control and MID controls are available. Auto headlamps, wiper controls, and telescopic steering adjustment are provided. Dashboard layout looks premium with soft-touch leather and Infinity speakers.
Touchscreen & Controls

A massive 14-inch screen is offered. A proper 360-degree camera comes with 2D and 3D views. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are available. AM/FM, Bluetooth, USB are basic features. AC controls are integrated into the screen — there are no physical buttons, which I feel is a drawback.
Wireless charger, two USB Type-A ports, ventilated front seats, 6-speed manual gearbox (diesel has no automatic option), hazard light switch, two bottle holders, parking sensor switch, handbrake, armrest storage, and 12V outlet are available.
Overall Cabin Feel
Seats are leather perforated and ventilated. Interior feels airy and spacious because of the massive panoramic sunroof. Auto-dimming IRVM, LED lights, mirrors, ticket holder, six airbags (front, side, curtain), ABS, traction control, ISOFIX seats — all safety features are included.
Rear Seat Comfort
Rear door pad continues the dual-tone theme with soft touch leather, gloss black inserts, bottle holder, speaker, and Infinity tweeter. Rear seats are extremely comfortable with great knee room, leg room, and headroom. Under-thigh support is good.
Armrest with bottle holders, LED roof lights, panoramic sunroof view, rear AC vents, Type-A charging port (Type-C would have been better), three adjustable headrests, leather seats, ISOFIX — all features are included.
Boot Space
Top variant gets an electric tailgate. A single press opens it. Boot space is impressive. Parcel tray can be removed. Toolkit is under the tray and the spare wheel is under the car. A subwoofer is provided. Tailgate closes with a single press.
On-Road Price
MG Hector top-end diesel manual variant has an ex-showroom price of 22.45 lakh. On-road price in Chandigarh is currently around 27 lakh without a discount. With discounts, you can easily save around ₹2 lakh depending on the dealership.
