MG Comet EV : Hi everyone, welcome back to another video.

Today I have here the MG Comet with me.

It is going to have its exciting variant.

It costs ₹8,56,000 ex-showroom.

If you too want an EV right now that is convenient to drive inside the city, and at the same time looks luxurious, has decent features and a very cute look, this small car is for you.

Whether you take it out from anywhere, I mean if you want it for the city — from home to shop, shop to home, if you want to go to the market, carry a little shopping, this car is made for that.

First Impressions

First, look at the car’s looks.

Right now, look brother, rainy weather is going on these days.

It is not feasible to go on a scooter or bike in the rain.

So you can take this Comet anywhere, brother.

Take it to the shopping mall to shop, take it to shop, it will not complain.

The car looks very cute.

You can see the keys here.

You will get a very unique key.

There is a flip key here.

See.

You get two keys and how unique the look is brother.

It shows lock, unlock and boot provision.

You get boot opening provision.

By the way, the quality of the key is so premium you will get.

The key is heavy too.

So today I am going to give you a complete review of this car here.

What This Review Covers

Today we will talk about its on-road price, what discounts are going on for it, and today in July 2025 this video is being shot.

So today I will tell you about the discounts.

I will give you a complete walkaround of the car.

We will review it.

If you want to purchase the Comet or are just thinking about buying a small EV for your home, please watch the whole video once on my advice, brother, it will be very enjoyable.

Without any delay, let’s start the video here and if you are on the channel for the first time then subscribe and also like the video.

Let’s start the video with the walkaround of this car, brother.

Design & Size — “Small Package, Big Blast”

mg comet front seat

If I tell you details about the Comet, then this is small package big blast, seriously.

The car’s size is small but swag is big.

Turning radius is about 4.2 meters, meaning you can easily tuck it into markets and turn from anywhere.

It will be very easy to handle.

It is a two-seater car.

There are seats at the back too, but you can use them like boot space which is better.

If you want to sit at the back you can, otherwise you can use it as storage.

Features & Practicality

Voice commands are available in the car.

No frunk, no engine is coming here.

There is a small frunk but under it you will find wiring etc.

I will show that in the video later.

Also you get a 17.3 kW lithium battery pack in the car which comes with an IP67 rating.

That means it is both dust and water resistant.

You get a warranty of 8 years or 1,20,000 km whichever comes first.

If we talk about charging options, the company offers two types of chargers with the car.

3.3 kW which is your home charger and with that your car will be full in 7 hours.

The other is a 16A regular socket portable charger, with which it will be full in 11 to 12 hours.

There is no fast charger or DC charger option with the Comet.

Front Facia

Starting from the front look, you get connected DRLs which do not come in the base variant.

If you look at the base variant, you get chrome instead of connected DRLs.

You get the MG logo which is glowing and this is your charging port as well.

Also you do not get any front camera in this variant.

Neither do you get front parking sensors in this variant.

Brother, LED projector headlamps come with high beam and low beam.

If you look at the lower side, you get a sleek grille here which is for ventilation.

And in conclusion for the front look, they tried to provide a mix of modern and futuristic design which makes the car sleek and compact in some way.

Side Profile

If we talk about the side profile, some people might laugh a little seeing it.

I will not say anything in the middle.

Talking about the profile, you get a unique tall boy compact design here.

The wheelbase is quite small but the height is kept good.

That may cause a little body roll.

But still that is another topic.

Otherwise you get a two-door layout here.

You get two doors in the front.

No door comes at the rear.

Clean body service is maintained here.

Minimal cuts and minimal creases are kept.

You get 13 inch steel wheels with styling covers.

No alloys come.

You get wheel covers here.

Electrically adjustable ORVMs are available.

And if you see the B-pillar of the car it is completely blacked out which gives a modern touch to the car.

Rear Profile

If we talk about the rear profile, at the top side you get a defogger.

At the lower side, you get connected tail lights.

You see MG Comet branding.

See the tail lamps.

They are also provided in LED.

You will get a rear camera and two parking sensors at the rear.

Otherwise at the lower side your reflectors are also present.

The roof will be completely white.

The charging port is kept towards the front and there is no frunk in it.

Because it is an EV, a frunk should have come but it does not come here because all the wiring etc. is kept at the front side.

Boot Space & Seating

mg comet seating arrangement

If I talk about boot space, it is a very small car so you should not expect big boot space.

But you get around 40 to 50 liters of boot space here.

If you fold the seats, you will get approximately 210 liters which is more than enough for one to two small bags.

Interior — Small but Premium

Now I have come into the Comet’s interior.

Very good interior, no doubt, feels quite luxurious.

It’s a small car and a cute car.

Only one confusion I have here is I don’t understand which segment audience I should recommend this car to.

Because look, this car is priced at ₹8,56,000 ex-showroom.

By that logic if you are buying it to carry vegetables, that means straight away you are either very rich or you have full money, buy it no problem.

You won’t keep a scooter but you will keep a car.

Whether you keep a small car or an EV, they claimed range around 270 km, practically you will get around 150 to 180 km.

Features Inside

mg comet dashboard
mg comet dashboard

If I talk about features, two speakers come in the front in this exciting variant.

Because this is the exciting variant, you will not find a tweeter or subwoofer here.

Talking about the interior, you get this kind of interior.

It is completely fabric finish.

This is your fiber.

The dashboard is completely fiber.

Manual IRVM is provided here.

As you can see, you will get visors.

You get a vanity mirror which is reasonably sized.

The same mirror comes on the other side.

Safety & Noise

In terms of safety, two airbags come in the car.

Since it’s an EV, you will get very good feedback.

No road noise will come into the car.

No such disturbing noise comes; it’s an EV so it runs simply and very nicely.

Controls & Comfort

Look at the ORVM visibility — it’s quite good.

You get power windows at the front.

Thar style is provided here for some parts.

Some type of gear lever comes here.

See, it is provided here.

Two, reverse, neutral, drive and on this side this scene is provided.

It is completely silver setting which looks very good.

One thing I noticed — there is no divider in this area.

It is all connected which means the features are somewhat limited in this variant but the comfort is quite good.

You get fabric seats.

If you go to the top-end variant, you will get leather there.

Here you get manual AC.

You get defogger, fan speed control.

You get a fully connected display.

On the steering, you have MID controls.

You can see that the MID works from here.

From here you get screen controls like infotainment.

This is the mute button.

This is Alexa control.

See.

I am listening.

It also supports Google.

By the way, if we talk about the display, look brother this kind of scene will be there.

It will show the trip, normal power mode and some technical terms.

We will not talk too much about it or the video will get long.

Missing Items

You do not get a sunroof in this variant.

There are grab handles — they come in handy.

When they are present, the mute button works.

The steering’s fairback is very good.

There is no push start/stop button.

Practical Hooks & Ports

On this side you get hooks to hang things because the car is also made for that purpose.

See, you get two USB ports here.

You are provided with hooks to hang carry bags etc. when you bring vegetables, so you won’t face any trouble.

By the way, you can see the wipers control and the lights control on this side.

Overall the fit and finish of the car is okay, you won’t face any such problem.

Inside the car you only get accelerate and brake pedals because obviously it is electric so there won’t be gears etc.

It is an automatic car.

You get controls for ORVMs.

Rear Seating & Comfort

Now let’s check the rear, guys.

If we talk about the rear side of the Comet, first of all you will not see any rear door.

At the rear you will see a simple glass so that anyone sitting at the back doesn’t feel suffocated later.

You will also get fabric seats at the back.

Seat belts will be provided on both sides at the rear.

Obviously they are provided.

You will get grab handles at the back.

If an old person sits at the back then some convenience features are given to him.

Otherwise the entire roof comes in ivory colour with soft texture.

If I talk about the rear space and comfort, the recline angle is a bit average.

It’s not that much.

Fixed headrest will be visible on both sides.

One good thing is you will get very good legroom.

Thigh support is not much.

As this is a two-seater car, thigh support is not very significant.

You can access the boot from the rear, so the boot becomes quite good.

The rear side is therefore basically meant to be used as a two-seater if someone wants to sit behind they can but comfort-wise the same issue will come — recline angle is not great and thigh support is not much.

There are no speakers at the rear in this variant and no sunroof either, so you may feel slightly suffocated in that regard but you can open it if needed.

Performance & Range

Talking about its power, it produces 41 PS with 110 Nm of torque and comes with a single-speed automatic transmission.

Front wheel drive is present.

It runs like a cycle.

Even a child can drive it comfortably.

There is no gear, obviously it is electric so it runs smoothly.

It is basically made for G.P. city driving.

It is smooth and silent in response.

Top speed will be around 100 km/h.

It is a very small car.

The company claims a range of 230 km.

Comfortably it will give you up to 150 on a combined highway plus city cycle.

On-Road Pricing & Dealer Offers

So guys this is all about this video.

If I talk about on-road pricing, this variant with the 17 kW battery pack comes.

As I told you, it will cost ₹9,65,000 on-road here.

If you want discounts and the best prices on the car then you can visit here.

I will flash the proper showroom address and contact number of MG Motors here.

You can visit there.

You just have to give reference that you have come from the Car Zone YouTube channel.

They will provide you add-on discounts from our side.

They will also provide value added services because we want our YouTube audience to get special treatment and the best.
